But I don’t need anyone to motivate me. I love exercise, even things like the elliptical and stretching. I’m obsessed with hula-hooping. I do it for 20 minutes a day. I don’t use the old-fashioned hollow plastic kind we had when we were kids.” Nope, she uses an adult-sized hoop and of course she gets Ellen to join her in hooping it up, explaining to Ellen, “It’s really good for your core muscles.” Catherine then finds herself in something of a hoop battle.

And when she isn’t hooping to stay fit she likes to swim too. “I’m lucky to have a pool at my house in Westchester. I do laps for half hour a day when I can. I either work out in the house or, when I’m at our apartment in Manhattan, at an Equinox. I do at least 45 minutes a day, seven days a week.” The mother-of-two who is married to Michael Douglas also admitted she tries to eat healthy too. “I don’t deny myself food. I’m no saint. I love butter and cream, but I also eat lots of grains and fruits.” In her InStyle magazine interview Zeta-Jones also talks about her bipolar disorder. “I’m not the kind of person who likes to shout out my personal issues from the rooftops, but with my bipolar becoming public, I hope fellow sufferers will know it’s completely controllable. I hope I can help remove any stigma attached to it.”
