Selena Gomez Hula Hoops For New Single

Selena Gomez Hula Hooping Selena Gomez, the 18-year-old American actress, singer, and entrepreneur, who is best known for portraying Alex Russo in the Emmy Award-winning Disney Channel television series Wizards of Waverly Place, will premiere her new music video for “Love You Like a Love Song” tomorrow on the Disney Channel. A leaked sneak peak clip, however, has already revealed that Selena takes time out in the video for her new single to hula hoop it up, and she actually looks like quite the goddess doing it. The video, which basically has Selena singing at a karaoke lounge – to her new single of course, takes a turn at some point where we are ultimately taken with her inside the karaoke machine video, and it’s here that we find Selena hula hooping. We also find her hanging out with a guy who looks like Mozart, as well as dancing under a tree with a mariachi band. While we’ve known she was a hooper previously, this is the first video we’ve seen. Check out the sneak peak video below:

How To Make a Hula Hoop Rug

Hula Hoop RugDid you ever make a pot holder when you were in school? Whether you did or you did not, the same principle can be used to transform a pile of old T-shirts into spectacular works of woven art. Yes, just a spare hula hoop (or embroidery hoop) and the techniques presented over at Disney FamilyFun will have you well on your way. The oversize looms and easy-to-use loops of T-shirt fabric make these projects particularly appealing to beginning weavers too. You can learn the basic hoop weaving technique and wind up crafting a colorful accent rug to brighten up a room. And if you want to take the weaving a little further, you can get more adventurous with basket and chair pad weaves. Before you begin, a couple terms you will need to know is that the “warp” is the material you string on the hoop, the “weft” is the material you weave with. What you’ll need is a pair of scissors, about a dozen T-shirts, and a 33″ hoop or so. Full directions: FamilyFun
