June is Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Pride Month and more celebrations are happening this weekend than any other on the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City. Some cities hold their events earlier or later though, like Denver, which celebrated last weekend and Bryan Pope performed on the main stage of Denver Pridefest, spinning up a hoop dance worthy of being proud of. He lives in Denver, Colorado, USA, and his soundtrack for this is the Manhattan Clique Remix of “Dark Horse” by Katy Perry and Juicy J. and you can grab a copy for yourself on Soundcloud.
Fever Cadence, better known as Annette Voight, has been stuck indoors thanks to some super cold temperatures. “I heard this song, couldn’t resist getting up and dancing to it. I love the energy it gives off!” She lives in Denver, Colorado, USA, and her inspiring soundtrack choice is called “Run Boy Run” and it’s by Woodkid. You can get a copy of it for yourself if you’d like too on Amazon.
Fever Cadence, otherwise known as Annette, has been hooping for close to a year and her hoop dance is a lot of fun to watch. She’s also discovered the value of hoop therapy. Having been going through a bit of a rough patch for a while, she took some time to spin around in her apartment. Now things are looking up. “Guess I needed the therapy,” she says. We know the feeling! She lives in Denver, Colorado, USA, and the soundtrack for this is “I Knew You Were Trouble” by Taylor Swift and you can get a copy of it for yourself on iTunes.
One of our favorite videos of 2012 rolls in right before the end of the year. There just isn’t anything about it that we don’t love. Dynamic hooping, beautiful scenery, epic cinematography – it transcends the genre of hooping videos to become something of a short film featuring the hoop stylings of Ali G., aka Alison Guse, as she spins her way beautifully around the Windy City of Chicago, Illinois. Filmed by Alex Halstead and Tom Herbert, and edited by Halstead – quite brilliantly I might add – the soundtrack is “Number Fourteen” by Gladkill and it’s available for purchase on iTunes. Ali lives in Denver, Colorado, USA. A Hooping.org Video of the Day.
