| Your First Time | It was the day RadioHead performed at Bonnaroo 2006. with camcorder in hand, we were walking from one stage to the next when this girl asked me if I wanted to watch her hula hoop. I asked her if I could record her & she said sure. While I was expecting the traditional “around the waist hula hooping” she exploded like a firecracker with the hoop moving up & down & all around her body. My jaw probably hit the floor. She let me try & I couldn’t even maintain one waist rotation (but I was secretly hooked). Shortly after we got back to Miami from Tennessee, my best friend at the time gifted me my very 1st hoop & I’ve been hooping ever since. |

| Fire? | Yea! I wish I had a chance to fire hoop more often but I don’t have a fire hoop of my own but I’ve been very fortunate to have people lend me their toys. Considering that I DON’T hoop with PolyPro, & I don’t fire hoop often, hooping with a Fire PolyPro was a pretty nice way to get bit by the Fire Bug. |

| A Favorite Hooping Memory | Early 2011… A sweet girl from Chicago, Stephie Love, found me on FaceBook when she got “stranded” in Miami Beach due to a blizzard. What was supposed to be a 3 day visit turned into a 3 month stay. We were fire hoop buddies after CarmenCecilia Richards treated us to our first burn at the Zoo. |
