Your First Time

I was dressed as a Faerie in Philadelphia at Faeriecon. Another patron had a very plain naked hoop with a tiny thin strip of red vinyl tape that went halfway around the hoop. I had seen a girl hoopdance before and was really excited to try it. I could keep it on my waist very well but wanted to do all the corkscrews I had seen and was promptly frustrated that it was harder than it looked. But I bought the hoop for a measly $10, took it home and started practicing every day! Best thing to ever happen to me!

A Favorite Hooping Memory

I did a performance at one of the biggest nightclubs in Paris on the Champs-Elysee. I got led down by bouncers to my stage and did a fire show that got everyone cheering. I felt like a rock star!
