Okay, I know some of us here have either tried other flow tools/toys and/or maybe even really love to work and play with more than just hoops. For me, I’ve tried meteor rope (a very very little) and love it and want to continue. I’ve also dabbled in poi, but not enough to dance with it.

So how about you? Do you spin a staff? Contact staff, contact juggling? Poi? Swords? Clubs? Rope dart? Aerials? Roue Cyr? What flow mojo do we have goin on here in New England? 8)

    OH! Great topic!

Besides hoops, my big thing is Buugeng and also have picked up contact staff recently.

I also contact juggle but not very well. And I have a Roue Cyr but still need to get it skinned before I can actually really do much with it!! I love my Flow-wand too.

I’ve seen some of your videos of Buugeng work and they’re awesome! I’ve never seen that before, I’d love to hear more about how you learned about it.

I find contact juggling to be amazing, and Roue Cyr is something I’ve been wanting to try for a WHILE. Sweet. :)

My other flow tool (just beginner) has been meteor rope. I haven’t had training from anyone, I was just letting my body tell me what to do. I want to get back to it. Here’s a video of my beginning-beginning work that I made a couple years ago:

    That is really cool, Ter’i!!!

I got into buugeng because I was watching one of Michael Moschen’s videos from years ago. At one time, he pulls out the 2 gigantic s-curves and I immediately fell in love. I searched everywhere for someone making them and was unsuccessful at that time. I gave up my search for a bit. A few months later, I tried again and buugeng immediately came up. Somewhere with in that time I gave up on the searching, the connection was made. I became friends with the guy that created buugeng and also became his apprentice. Between buugeng and hoop, I stay pretty busy with a lot to play with!!! :D
