Yesterday I taught at my local hoop jam and will be teaching throughout the summer. Yesterday’s experience and a couple from last year brought a problem to my attention. I feel very confident teaching off-body moves. I break them down, walk my friends through them in slow motion, and then give help individually. I can see the results. They make progress, complete the tricks, and I see them using their new skills later in the afternoon. Core hooping is a different story. I feel rather lost. Any tips?
I posted this question on Hoop City last week and got such AMAZING feedback that I thought I’d share the link with ya’ll. And, of course, look forward to hearing your thoughts.
