I always find that when I get a really great groove going and want to note to myself to remember so I can replicate it at another point, as soon as I think about how great I’m doing my hoop falls, or I lose my flow. I have to find a way to not think about thinking when i’m in a great groove, so that I can keep the great practice and creative energy flowing. Any advice?

Hey Crys, it’s a little late, but I am going through the exact same process right now. I think we have to train ourselves to remember (quickly) that we can reflect on it later – it’s not possible to have feelings that wonderful, and not remember them later. Almost brainwash yourself into realizing that less is more with hooping once you know you and your hoop’s rhythm.
But, I sometimes connect tricks in a flow that I haven’t before, and I want to remember that. I think remembering those and confidently whipping them out comes with a confidence that I don’t have yet. Rome wasn’t built in a day, right?

    Right!
Yeah, I sometimes am able to do just that, now that i have spent more time in the hoop. I just got a polypro! And the other day i have some good flow. i am able to get my tricks to mesh together more. So much fun. Sometimes i can’t remember anything i did (trick wise) but i can remember that it was awesome. hah. eh well. ill get there. hae fun! thanks for the advice!
