Hoopy land was nice today. My friend brought some clothes for me to sample for out next outing. She has a hoop made by me, but is terrified to use it. She prefers wii hooping by herself. One day, the hoop will call lol. Or maybe not *shrug* So I hooped while she ellipticalled. We got about 35 minutes in. It was so nice. Took my lunch earlier than usual so we could have lunch and clothes session together. We’re going shopping Thursday. I don’t shop lol. I don’t really do clothes or fashion either. I’ve agreed to try on anything she wants me to try on, shoes included, but she’s agreed that if I don’t like it, I don’t like it and its on to the next one lol. I would like to express myself through my wardrobe more, but in the corporate world, I feel like the tiniest splash of color creates a “she’s close to violating dress code” scandal. Its so beautiful, almost 70 degrees here, I just want to be outside! I would’ve called in sick if one of our staff wasn’t on vacation this week. I hope he’s enjoying his cruise lol. Challenge complete!!!!!!!!! *Victory Dance*

Ok, I did the Dirty Thirty (as it has become known around here). Two separate segments, but it was the last day and I wanted to do it.

Truth be told though, 30 days is a long time for this kind of challenge. I don’t even work but most people do and I don’t know how they did it.

At the end is was becoming something I “had” to do and I don’t like that and never want hooping to become a chore for me. I want it to stay mystical and magical, playful and there for tension release and endorphin highs. Not because I feel I have to. Ya know?

Anyway. One challenge done. Over and out ;D

after a nice warm-up I worked on some vertical step throughs and I am getting better going back and forth, arm and shoulder weaving practice with some duck outs and this feels good. It was a great 30 + minutes of hooping and I realized how far I have come in this challenge! Thank you and hope to still see people here which inspires me!

yes, the first time I have actually finished the challenge! I did my 30 and over just a great feeling to do this with work, grad school, and internship- squeezing it in is hard but it does make me feel good and less stress! Thanks for the challenge and I will keep hooping! Happy Hooping everyone!

Last day, check. After session, went and borrowed a friend’s hoop and got my 30 in. Going out for a friend’s birthday to this goth club in Mass. So, I’m missing our weekly jam. :( sorry, kamala

My 30 minutes flew by today, I felt like I was only in my hoop for 5! I can’t beleive it’s the end of January already. I would like to thank the folks who started this 30/30…I’ve seen it more as an invitation into the hooping world and less of a challenge. But I must admit that word “challenge” does make you want to try new things. Happy hooping!

A half hour of good hooping is a great anecdote from a day spent in jury duty! Think they’d let me bring my hoop to the jury room?
I’m proud of myself that I made it all the way through this challenge! I’ve learned a lot in thirty days! Think I’ll hoop again after dinner. Another long day tomorrow!

1/31/2012 Day 31 (but really my day 30)!!! Done!!! It’s been quite the month, hooping-wise. Brecken’s workshop, a great hoop jam in LA, the GoPro video and this past weekend of hooping in San Simeon, plus all the everyday hooping that happened in between. I feel like I’ve made a lot of forward progress during this challenge. And I’m not stopping here! :)

I can’t believe it’s the last day of the challenge! I feel so in tune with my hoop again after all those months not being able to touch it. I got in a good hour and a half today :-)

Enjoyed the 30/30 challenge … i do 30 minutes every day unless I am too sick to move. Focused on the challenge I have gotten proficient with my smaller hoop and better at hip hooping…next goal, hooping in the opposite direction.

My true 30th day today since I did use a wildcard. Feels good to keep myself going even if it isn’t in the most ideal setting. I’ve noticed a HUGE difference between this challenge and the Oct challenge. Then I was going through a major hoop slump and was just very much at a standstill and unhappy at how repetitive I felt with the weather change and hooping mostly indoors compared to out. But now I am happy where I’m at and just happy to hoop for the sake of hooping. Of course I still want to learn more and more but I’m not getting myself down for only knowing what I know.
Thanks everyone for your insights this past month. Its been a pleasure and I hope to keep hearing and sharing more with you all.
