Wow! I was not thinking about today being Day 30! I did use my wild card on 1/7 so I will be hooping again tomorrow. I definitely think my practice has grown even though I already hooped most every day. Some days I thought I wasn’t enjoying it as much when I forced myself too, but I think it helped me to find new aspects of my practice. This morning I hooped for nearly an hour with my Hoopnotica Level 3 and 4 DVDs. It was good to practice and find new things in some of my moves, and work on some new ones as well.

Thanks Dwiizie and Kamala for your coordination of this forum!

I just finished my 30 for today. My broadband modem died this AM, so I’m posting from dial-up! Today was better. ipod gave me a 20 min long drum journey tune so I took that as a sign to hoop meditatively & let go of skills practice. I did use “skills”, but went historically through the first things I learned to the most recent. I let go if I dropped the hoop, & returned to greater simplicity. Definitely in a better attitude space, which is what I needed. Congratulations challengers!! As Dwiizie said, we’re here 365 days with our threads & I think I can speak for us both when I say it is our pleasure!!!
    Hooplove!

Grudgingly got in my 30 today.. don’t know how many days knee can go before it needs a break. Speaking of broken.. so far today have dropped my new house phone. Broke. Just now brand new camera on tripod tipped over. Broke flash. Just what I get for tryin’ to take some cool hooping pics in the snow ::sigh:: ah well, one more day. Then a rest ;)

30 days in–where did January go?! Forty minutes in the hoop. Really grooving with just waist hooping these days, followed by a great yoga practice. Not a bad start for a Monday.

Got in a super fun thirty outside today, playing around with tossing the hoop, and was hooping with two hoops and slowly getting the hang of hooping in two places at once (knees and waist and waist and chest).

Where did January go indeed! I felt like today was my first real day back “all out” in the hoop. I hooped like there was no tomorrow. I spent some time on the elliptical and treadmill to try and add some spice to my hooping (backwards right? lol!) but I kept trying to dance on the equipment again. I managed some chassé variations and some lifts on the bars but its just too dangerous and unsteady for me to fudge around on the treadmill like that, so back to the hoop I went! I got a good 50 or so minutes in, along with a nice, long, deeeeep stretch session. Oh I feel good right now. Can’t wait to go to the Chiro tonight and home to my foam roller (mmmmmm) Happy Hooping loves, I’ll be seeing you all tomorrow (as I used a wild card one day as well.)

Hooped for 30 today, I really can’t believe it is the end of the month, wow it went fast. I will be talking tomorrow because I started on the second. I tried to watch tv and hoop it did not work for me, I guess I need to dance. I hear of other people doing this and it just wasn’t for me….

I was on the way to Pilates class but the weather made me end up hiking and hooping, my favorite combo. Got my 30 in today but might just have to do some more :)

Got in an hour today drilling double shoulder duck-outs and material for my new choreography. More tonight at spin jam. And more tomorrow (I came in on day 2)… and the day after… and the day after! Doing this challenge has helped to accelerate me through my learning curve, and I’m going to keep on it.

Did yoga for the first time ever this morning. I choose an 8:30am class which is a big change for me currently since I have the semester off of school and have been sleeping late. After yoga I just wantedto keep moving. Played with 2 hoops for 30 mins, then 1 hoop for 30 mins. Worked on my left hand tricks today and timing between both hands….which seem to never want to work in unison….but I’m slowly getting there.

Yahoo! We made it to day 30! I must say it wasn’t my most thrilling day of hooping, but I agree with Sproutsmom. Hooping every day really did help me grow and expand my hooping. I’ve been being much more creative this past month than I have been in a while. I’ve enjoyed reading everyone’s post and staying connected/motivated through this forum. Thanks to all and Dwizie and Kamala! I hope to continue hooping daily even after this.

Had a little extra time this evening, so I watched some tutorials on turning while weaving. Then I practiced those for 10 minutes and worked on more mini stuff. Then I worked with my big heavy hoop for some core work. Practiced my shoulder hooping w/out turning. Then went for my standard hoop and came up with a chest roll combo move. Tried shoulder duckouts…didn’t work :)

All in all I got about 50 or 60 minutes of hooping in.
I will post tomorrow for sure, I had that one day of total internet outage and couldn’t post until the next day, so I’m not sure if that counts for wild card. Congrats everyone! I know I am more motivated then ever to keep this up.
