World Hoop Day Ambassadors

Owner: World Hoop Day

Group members: 19

Description:

Ambassadors travel abroad or stay within their community and donate hoops to children and adults in need.  They either travel with an organization like the U.S. Peace Corps or fly solo.  Often Ambassadors make and tape the hoops before hand and check them as luggage.  However, since the airline industry has increased charges for extra luggage, many Ambassadors are getting creative and sourcing the hoop making materials when they arrive to their location.  If you decide to ship them abroad, please use UPS and mention World Hoop Day and our efforts.  They shipped our hoops to the White House for free, and may help you out, too.

Ambassadors have donated over 2,000 hoops on behalf of World Hoop Day and received over $2,000 i funding from donations made to the World Hoop Day Charity.  Most Ambassadors are self-funded, which is an incredibly rewarding way to contribute to their own community by having locals give back in a way that benefits the lives of children and residents.  For more information on becoming an Ambassador, visit our site:  WorldHoopDay.org
