On July 17, 1996, a four-year-old Angela Horstman and her mother witnessed the devastating explosion of the TWA Flight 800 aircraft only 12 minutes after its departure. Years later, she visits the memorial and expresses herself by hoop dancing in memory of those who were lost. She writes, “So for all those who lost someone, and all those who were affected in their own ways, this is for you, this is for all of us.” She lives in Mastic Beach, New York, USA. “Hula Hoop” is an awesome short film that ultimately tells the story of the circle of life using grains of sand. Yes, it’s made with sand!
