It's pretty great to know that come January 20th, the day of the inauguration, there will be hoops in the White House. Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama, born on January 17th, 1964, is an attorney by trade, a graduate of Princeton University and Harvard Law School, and by all accounts an incredible hooper in her own right. Her husband, President-Elect Barack Obama, told the press, "She is the best Hula-Hooper I know. Once she gets the rhythm going, she can drop to her knees!" Hooping in the White House isn't her main priority though. She told Ebony Magazine, "My first job in all honesty is going to continue to be mom-in-chief, making sure that in this transition, which will be even more of a transition for the girls ... that they are settled and that they know they will continue to be the center of our universe."
