The 2007 Hoopies: It's Time To Cast Your Ballot!
Welcome to the 2008 Hoopies, Hooping.org Magazine's first annual awards celebrating greatness in our community. We'd like to remind everyone that if you're a hooper you're already a winner! Nominations for the 2007 Hoopies opened on January 1st, 2008, and closed on January 11th at 9pm Pacific Standard Time. More than 400 nominations were submitted. The results were tabulated and your top five nominated finalists in each category were presented. Where there were ties, and there were several, more than the customary five finalists were included on the ballot.
Voting opened on Monday, January 14th and closed on Friday, January 18th at 9:00 PM Pacific Standard Time. Your 2007 Hoopies winners will be announced on Monday, January 21st, 2008. All of our nominees presented below are linked and we invite you to view our nominated videos, songs, groups and individuals. This is so wonderful. I wish I knew about it I would of nominated OUR hoop troupe THE KAIVALYA HOOP DANCERS based out of Denver, CO! These girls ROCK ROCK ROCK and are so kind and giving to the hoop community! Unlike other hoop troupes we know, who only want to charge money, instead of spread the hoopla.

Wonderful, an honor to be nominated along with many other talented folks. Just wanted to add, especially proud of my Hooping Video nomination, as (is incorrectly referenced) I spent many hours creating/editing it myself as my first video edit project ever. My friend Jim did contribute some footage, but it was a long labor of love for me, and it's nice to know it's appreciated whether it wins or not. thanks everyone, and good luck! Also, for accuracy's sake, I'm a modern-day gypsy and have been out of Seattle for almost a month, back on the East cost now...
