Hula-Hoop World Records
While the majority of the Guiness world records for hooping are pretty much based on the small Wham-O Hula Hoop standard, the Hula Hoop World Records are still very impressive. Tonya Lyn Mistal hooped for a record breaking 88 hours without a break and without it going above her shoulders or below her knees. That's a little over three and a half days. Check out the rest including the most hoops at once, the largest hoop (yeah!), running 100 meters while spinning a hoop and more.

I just turned 15 yesterday and the day before that, when i was 14, i hula hooped for 12min 11 seconds and then had to go in for dinner, not sure if that is anywhere near the record for under 15 but thats my personal best (the 2nd time i've ever timed myself)

I am nine years old and last night I hula hooped for 45 minutes . I could of went longer but I had to go to the bathroom. When I was eight I had a record of 30 minutes.

what is the longest hula hooping time for a 16 year old?...i am really determined to try to break the record next summer!...i am a very good hooper and think i have the capability to do it...i just have to stick my mind to it...all i have to do is plan the time and date and get cameras to watch me hoop (so you know i dont cheat) i would really like support in breaking this record so if anyone has feed back please post it! i did not go for a time but an amount i counted how many times it went around my knees without falling i reached my goal of 1000 times and then fell over from the speed i was going at i was very proud that i reached 1000 i still continued after wards but was still to tired to try the 1000 again. :)

I am 12 years old and I have always loved hula hooping. So one day, I got my hoola hoop, looked at my digital clock, waited it to go to 2:04, and started hoola hooping. I was doing great until my stomach was getting sore and started getting tired and the hoola hoop slipped. It was 2:28. I did it for 32 minutes!But I could have done more...

I know a 9 year old who kept her hula hoop up for over an hour, while doing tricks, such as running around her house, or dancing, etc. She is one of the best hula hoopers i have ever seen, and she doesnt even move, and if she does, no one can see it.

I'm 14 and I just hula-hooped for 35 minutes, and then came in for dinner. It's hard. It makes your abs hurt and your legs feel all floaty. You have to be really serious about it. Arm placement is everything to keep your balance. And don't even try to scratch, especially not your back.

Ok first I looked at my clock and it was 9:25pm and than I started hulla hooping I kept going for all most 24 hours but I got tired and my hips fell asleep so when I was done my dad looked at the clock and it was 9:25 am in the morning. It was awsome! For breaking a record my dad took me to the rapids soo cool and i am 9 years old and hulla hooped for 24 hours.

Hi i am twelve years old and i have hula hooped for a long time i have some advice for the beginners who need help...
1- if you have a scratch on your leg or up high get someone else (with long arms) to get it or u will mess up
2-hula hoop in a large area or u will hit something
3-if u can do stuff with ur arms u can drink water and eat
4-have someone help u for the whole time u r hooping
5-make a scedual and practice that a day so u can do that when u do ur testing ur self for like food and water and other things.
over the summer i am going to try to go for as long as i can

In 1958 (western Penn hula hoop champ) I won a shetland pony during the hula hoop and still have my original hula hoop now it is 50 years old. Would like to know how long I would have to Hula hoop to get in the record books.

I found info on records at www.recordholders.org
While there is no record for under age 14 ( You have to be 14 to try)But there is a record listed for a 8 year old going for 10 hours and 47 minutes. To count the hoop can not go above sholders and can only go below hips for 30 seconds at a time and of course no touching with your hands.
My daycare kids have been counting each turn of the hoop and we have gotten between 40 and 10,000 with age between 7 and 12.

Today is June 11, 2009. I am 13 years old and on Junee 28, I will be 14 years old. I like to hula hoop. I think I can beat the 88 hour hula hooping record that I saw on a website before. Once, I hula hooped for 24 hours straight with no breaks and without letting the hula hoop fall, plus I did it the right way. I say to my parents that one day, I will be a hula hooping champion! They just say "Impossible"! One day I will make them eat those words! That's all.

I'm 14 and I am awesome at hula hooping I can dance, jump, hula hoop on 1 foot, walk around, spin, go up objects into and on another objects, hula hoop and go down on my knees and hula hoop, spin it around my arms over my head and then make the hula hoop go down to my waist and still keep hula hooping. My dancing is real dance moves, I practice with my sister to different songs and make up moves, I can hula hoop for a long time. I don't know how long. Once I hula hooped while texting drinking pop eating reading a book and watching mary popins. I also waked up two cooler stacked on top of eachother into a garbadge can and stayed hula hooping. I din't stop though. I just had to throw something or tell someone to get me something because I couldn't go through small spaces. I love hula hooping maybe I will post a video. IDK. i hula hooped for 3 hrs and 57 seconds during the summer at lake chealan... :] ..im a verry sore loser so i kept trieing and trieng that day.. shortest times was 10 minutes... oh yea im 14.. not the longest time, but i did get a HUGE bruise on my hip ...so im proud :D

I don't have many talents but hoola hoop is something i can do for hours on end without effort. at school sports day i went the hole day for about 6 hours and i could have went longer but the teacher demanded the hoop back. my 9 year old sister hula hooped for an hour and 1 second. She had to use the bathroom and her feet and hips were falling asleep so she stopped. Originally her goal was to hoop through a Mika CD, but then we kept adding on and she won an unofficial certificate for being awesome. :P

GUYS! if u wanna know...to break the record you must have a judge from guiness world records come over to your house. to tome you. I know you might be disappointed...since many of you did 24 hrs without sleep....they wont accept you saying you did so...you must do it again but they must watch. to make a judge watch you you must go to their website and find out more about beating the record and theri is no "records" for you age groups. It just goes by person and time and how many hoops
