We've had questions about lifts so this we're spending time with Caroleeena again as she demonstrates lifts from the waist. She lives in Raleigh, North Carolina.

track of the week

hed kandi

Someone turned us on to the "Beach House" compilation from the Hed Kandi label that's chock full of great summer grooves. In fact we had a hard time deciding on which one for track of the week - and ultimately decided to keep it simple and go with the opening track by DJ Miguel Migs called "So Far." You can listen to this week's track in our listening station up top, and you can check our more from "Beach House" and download 'em for yourself on iTunes by clicking:

About Hooping.org

Welcome! Hooping.org Magazine is an international hub for the worldwide hooping community and the one-stop online source for all things hooping since 2003. Its mission is to provide advice, instructions, videos, photos, and other helpful information for hoopers all over the world. If it's about hooping, you can find it on Hooping.org!

Hooping.org was founded on May 4, 2003 shortly after three bloggers - Philo Hagen, Ariel Meadow Stallings and Vera Fleischer - spent hours hooping together at a party at Min Jung Kim's house in Oakland, California. Frustrated by a lack of information about hooping online they decided to create a site of their own. Their goal - to spread the joy of hooping to all and build a world wide hooping community.

Over the past four years Hooping.org has been recognized by a variety of publications around the globe including The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and National Public Radio. What began as a blog about hooping has evolved into a full-service online magazine. Don't be afraid to dig in the archives, a vast array of information awaits you.

After three years of sharing the joy of hooping Ariel resigned from hooping.org in order to focus on her new book. Vera made her departure several months later and is busy with her psychic work and telling cab driving stories. Philo Hagen continues to serve the publication as editor and hooping.org's sole remaining staff member. He lives in San Francisco, California, and he welcomes your questions, letters, photos, videos and other hooping contributions to the site for publication. For more information please see: Contribute.
