Tink’s Improvisational Time Transport

tink Kristen “Tink” McQuillan of Media Tinker and Spin Matsuri transports us back to the 1930’s with an improvisational hoop dance. As someone who is often doing choreographed work – like choreographing the World Hoop Day dance in recent years – it’s nice to see her set all that aside and hoop in the moment. She explains, “I focussed on dance movement without choreography and let the tricks fall away. It was satisfying.” And it was satisfying for us too so give it a watch and consider whether you’re hooping life could use a little more spontaneity today. Tink lives in Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo, Japan and is her soundtrack for this is “Miranda” by Lionel Belasco.
