In this week’s Friday Flashback we rewind back to 1977 for this Wham-O Hula Hoop commercial. The ad showed viewers that hula hooping wasn’t just a fun thing to do with your friends in the driveway, it was also a a great way to exercise while multitasking and doing other activities, like combing your hair or y’know, waitressing. Watch for a young Mat Plendl, World Champion Hula Hooper, making an appearance in this as well. He’s still busy hooping it up too.
