One Direction’s Liam Payne may not be heading to the Olympics to compete, but he recently revealed one athletic hobby that he is into. The pop idol member of the British-Irish boyband One Direction rose to fame on Season Seven of the British TV show The X Factor. Since then, One Direction released their debut album, Up All Night (on iTunes), which not only was the fastest-selling debut in the UK last year, it debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 as well, making One Direction the first UK group in U.S. chart history to ever debut at number one with their first album. Liam recently sent a tweet asking the Directioners (fans of One Direction) how they were spending their day and one responded, “@Real_Liam_Payne hula hooping while on twitter at 7 am (:”. Liam was obviously excited by this because he actually tweeted back, “@styleswantsmee i love hula hooping!” Directioners would probably love to see Liam hoop it up and we would too. And while Liam may not be competing in London this year, be sure to watch for him and his fellow UK boyband members when they perform in the 2012 Summer Olympics’ closing ceremonies.
