Natasha Kaluza drew a crowd spinning 30 hoops around her orange polyester jumpsuit at Powell Street Station in San Francisco, California. “I define myself as a superhero fighting the good fight against injustice and sadness everywhere. The hula hoop is my weapon,” Kaluza told The San Francisco Chronicle. She discovered she had a knack for the hula hoop 15 years ago in college, but didn’t understand its potential until she decided to study clowning at the Clown Conservatory in San Francisco. She’s since escaped the office job she took to pay student loans. “It’s a wonderful day when you get paid to hula hoop,” she said. A Hooping.org Photo of the Day from this SF Chronicle photo series.
