The Latest Spins at Hooping.org

December 5, 2011 in Features

New There are some new spins in the works here at Hooping.org that will allow you to stay in the hoop loop better, as well as one that is rather personal. Years ago I was diagnosed with a severe case of Delayed Sleep Phase Disorder. What that basically means is that I’m a hardcore night owl. No matter what anyone has done to try and change that, nothing has worked – until now. I’ve started some new therapies and given up coffee and other caffeinated beverages in hopes of swinging my internal clock and so far it seems to be working. Those late night hours, however, have historically been the time all of Hooping.org’s front page content has been updated for you to enjoy with your morning breakfast. With the latest effort to swing my internal clock around, this will no longer be the case. Instead you can expect updates starting in the morning and continuing throughout the day.

Facebook Button We are spinning things differently over at Facebook now as well. Not long after the social network began we started our Hooping.org Hooper’s Network, a Facebook hooping home that has thousands of members. Facebook changed things a few months ago though, leaving our group crippled. While most of the original Facebook groups could upgrade to a new group system, each time we tried it would fail. Contacting Facebook about it, we were told our group was too old and too large, that the new group system was designed for small groups in the hundreds or less, not in the thousands. It’s taken us a little while to get over the news, but we’ve finally launched our new Facebook page and are inviting each and everyone of you to like us – and have all of Hooping.org’s news and updates and more right in your Facebook feed. Join us.

google plus button For those of you on Google+ we’ve spun up a new page over there as well to keep you in the hoop loop and help spread the joy of hooping as well. We particularly like that they have circles, but then what else would you expect? Come join our circle, we’d be more than happy to have you.

Full Screen Logo There’s also a whole new site design and majorly upgraded system in place that is higher tech and faster loading. Thank you to everyone who has contacted us about how much you love the new crisp, clean look. One complaint we did receive had to do with the videos getting smaller, which is true. They’ve shrunk about 50 pixels. The smaller size is faster loading and you can always watch full screen by clicking the icon in the lower right hand corner.
