Amazing Hoop Race: Meet The Teams

Amazing Hoop Race Logo Small is very pleased to introduce you to the fourteen finalist teams that have been selected to participate in The Amazing Hoop Race,’s brand new contest that will present a series of revolutionary challenges for teams of two. We were looking for teams with personality and creativity. To qualify, all of our teams needed to own a video camera (or have regular access to one), have a YouTube account at their disposal, and have a membership for each member of their team. Last week we invited hoopers from everywhere to hook up with their best hooping pal and post their casting week video submissions on YouTube with the title “ Amazing Hoop Race Casting Week”. In their video they were required to tell us briefly about who they are as individuals – including their usernames, and to share with us something about their hooping story together (how did they know one another? how did they start hooping together?). We wanted them to give us a quick look at the place where they live too and to do all of this in under five minutes. To be considered, casting week entries needed to be posted no later than Saturday, October 8th. How was the turn out? We’re thrilled to inform you that we had more awesome casting week submissions then we even knew what to do with. We’d like to thank everyone out there who posted a casting week submission with all of our hoop love because you’re all so freakin’ wonderful and we truly wish we were able to have had all of you on this, the first inaugural season of The Amazing Hoop Race. Unfortunately, we only planned to have fourteen team slots maximum available, recognizing that the viewing audience in general can only handle so many videos in one sitting and that the race can only last so long. A most sincere and heart felt thank you goes out to everyone for throwing your hoops into the ring. We sincerely appreciate it and we really do love you all.

  2. OMG! I love all of these! Some of them brought tears to my eyes. We’re all so lucky to have a real hoop partner and friend. We’re super stoked and can’t wait to see what the next challenge is. Good luck all of you gorgeous people.

  3. Apologies racers, although we reported that the race was supposed to have started this morning, there was a delay on a piece of it that was beyond our control. We should have it taken care of today (knock wood) and once that last piece is in place we are ready to roll. Stay tuned.
