KHOU Channel 11 reports that “One of the newest fitness crazes sweeping the country is hoola hooping.” Kirsten Tucker of Hoopy Thoughts told the station that working with hoops works every muscle group in the body while building up a strong core. “You can work every muscle from head to toe. Hooping’s really a mind, body exercise program that really focuses on cardio and the core.” Tucker also explained that hooping increases flexibility and can take inches off your waist. With KHOU noting that “the new craze has been made popular by celebrities like Beyonce and Marisa Tomei”, Tucker said, “While it’s not as easy as it looks, as with anything, the more you do it the better you’ll get.” So true, so true!
