NFL Play 60 Gets Kids Hooping

Play 60 Kids Hula HoopingSan Diego Chargers defensive end Luis Castillo, St. Louis Rams linebacker James Laurinaitis and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft are among the NFL players and executives who are appearing in the National Football Leagues new public service announcement to prevent childhood obesity. The 90-second television spot had it’s debut during each of the three Thanksgiving games showing the players and executives joining with local children to hula-hoop, jump rope and take part in other fitness activities. The NFL’s “Play 60″ campaign aims to get children active for at least 60 minutes a day. Others in the spot include Cincinnati Bengals executive vice president Katie Blackburn and players Keith Rivers, Dhani Jones and Chinedum Ndukwe; Chargers offensive lineman Nick Hardwick; Rams defensive end Chris Long; and Patriots players Brandon Meriweather, Zoltan Mesko and Deion Branch.
