Spring Cleaning

Whew: it’s time for Spring Cleaning here at Hooping.org! Oh wait: it’s not spring yet? Close enough!
I’ve been doing some tidying up around the site … I updated the buyer’s guide and hooping introduction article, moved the gallery, and did some reorganizing in the sidebar. Hopefully this will make it easier to find things here at hooping.org. There may be more changes in store — we’ll keep you all updated as plans evolve.
Also: we apologize for hooping.org’s downtime last week. When our message boards got hacked last month, the hackers put an evil, virus-infested file on our server. Then they unleashed a worm on the internet, and it pointed infected computers to the virus file they’d planted on hooping.org! In the matter of a few short hours, we got over 150,000 hits from people infected with the virus. YIKES! If you’re curious, you can read about it over here.
Rest assured that the virus-y file has long since been deleted from our servers, and it was never linked from hooping.org, so none of our viewers would have been infected. Just to be safe, however, all hooping.org visitors should probably do a nice virus sweep — if you don’t have a virus program, you can use this one. It’s free, and pretty good.
Ok, I think that’s all for now … we realize it’s been pretty quiet here on hooping.org, and we’re hoping that things will pick up as spring kicks into gear and hooping season begins in earnest.
